About the Conference
The MDPA Conference on Marketing Diabetes Prevention and Awareness is designed to bring together government, public health, and academic organizations with private industry and healthcare providers to discuss their role in helping to fight one of the most pressing health issues in America today. This conference is designed to explore all aspects of the diabetes problem, and rather than looking to assign blame to one area or industry, it is designed to take into account everyone’s interest in solving this problem and how they can benefit. Questions we hope to address will include:
- Who is the diabetic population of America and how do they behave?
- How can we reach the at risk population and encourage them to get tested?
- What treatment options are available to fight the problem?
- How can we keep this population compliant in their treatments to avoid costly complications?
- What effect is the diabetes problem having on underserved communities and how can we improve their health?
This event will also feature poster displays of some of the latest diabetes research and an ad awards competition looking at the best ads focused on diabetes treatment, services, and awareness campaigns.
